David Beckham is currently out of favour with the manager Capello, and has started only a few games this season, normally being used as a substitute. Also, as of 2006, his long term future for the club is up in the air. Beckham has been continually linked with MLS sides in America, most prominently Los Angeles Galaxy, however, reports in October, 2006 have stated Celtic F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. may be interested in acquiring Beckham’s services in the January transfer window, and Israeli club Maccabi Netanya had already placed a formal bid.
